Kuala Lumpur, 5 Oct 2020 – INCEIF is pleased to welcome Prof Dr AAhad M. Osman-Gani who joined our faculty as Professor (Leadership & Management). He brings 45 years of teaching and research experience, specialising in international management and leadership, to the INCEIF faculty which already boasts of the most Islamic finance experts under one roof.
Prof. AAhad obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry) from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh in 1972. He has two Master degrees in Business Administration: MBA (with double majors in Management & Marketing) from IBA, University of Dhaka, and MA in International Business from The Ohio State University, Columbus, USA. He obtained PhD in Human Resource Development specialising in Leadership & International Management from The Ohio State University. Currently, he is a member of several prestigious scholarly organisations including The Academy of Management, The Academy of International Business, The Academy of Human Resource Development as well as a committee member of the World Academy of Islamic Management. Prof AAhad is also a Specially Appointed Professor of Graduate School of Management, Kyoto University, Japan.
Prior to joining INCEIF, Prof AAhad was the Dean and Managing Director of IIUM Academy of Graduate & Professional Studies and a senior Professor of HRD & International Management at the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Economics & Management Sciences of International Islamic University Malaysia. Before that, for 17 years, he was a professor at the Nanyang Business School of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Prof AAhad is actively involved in social services and philanthropic activities, and served as a Board Member of Directors of Perdaus, and Mercy Relief International Singapore. Currently, he serves as a Director of the Academy of HRD Foundation Board in USA, and is the Chairperson of the Outstanding HRD Scholar Award Committee of the Academy.
Professor AAhad has published extensively in top rated scholarly journals in his fields of interests and received the global recognition of “Outstanding HRD Scholar” from the Academy of HRD, USA in 2010. He is the first Asian scholar representing an Asian university to receive the distinguished Award in recognition of his outstanding records of continuous publications in high quality journals. He has also provided professional consultancy services to many local and international organisations including The World Bank, The Asian Development Bank, General Motors Corp of USA, Honda of America, IRTI of Islamic Development Bank, APO of Japan, GIBS of South Africa, Singapore EDB, TDB, SingTel, Singapore Productivity Board, Ministry of Trade & Industry, Ministry of Environment of Singapore.
