INCEIF emerged as the No 1 ranked university for research in Islamic finance in a research paper presented at the 3rd Islamic Finance, Banking & Business Ethics Global Conference which concluded recently in Pakistan.
In the paper “Advances in Islamic Economics and Finance” by Mr Abdullah khan, a PhD candidate atSuleman Dawood School of Business, Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), INCEIF tops a list of seven universities as the university with the most publications in A and A* journals.

No 5. Deakin University
Joint No 6. Monash University and Montpellier Business School
The paper noted that in recent years there has been phenomenal growth in Islamic finance publications in top tier journals (ABDC A* and A ranked journals). To reach its conclusion, the paper looked at a total of 193 articles on Islamic economics and finance published in ABDC A* and A ranked journal.
The conference’s best paper award went to INCEIF Alumna Dr Mohsin Ali who is currently working with AIR University, Islamabad. He wrote on `Impact of Non-Intermediation Activities of Banks on Economic Growth and Volatility: An Evidence from OIC’.
Since 2016, INCEIF has jointly organised the IFBBE conference with Suleman Dawood School of Business and IBA (Karachi). The conference seeks to bring together scholars and professionals engaged in research (both practical and academic) on the growth and development of Islamic Finance to present their research papers/ideas to a broader audience.
