INCEIF alumni, graduates and staff at the inaugural Graduation Dinner and Alumni Homecoming

 – INCEIF’s Student Representative Council (SRC) held its first ever INCEIF Graduation Dinner and Alumni Homecoming, in conjunction with INCEIF 9th convocation ceremony.

SRC President Muhammad ‘Arif Mohd Hodori said the main objective of the get-together was to celebrate the recent graduates as well as to encourage networking between the recent graduates and INCEIF alumni. As the alumni base had grown over the years to 1,585, the SRC acknowledged the importance to foster strong interaction between the alumni, graduates and students.

‘Arif, who is the fifth president, said: “In my experience here at INCEIF, great things are possible if you are well connected with each other.”

In total, 148 graduates and alumni attended the event, including previous SRC Presidents and members. During the dinner itself, the representatives of graduates, alumni and the management were invited to share their thoughts and hopes for the future of INCEIF Alumni.

Attendees signed on the globe to indicate their country of origins.

Dr Ashraf Iqbal, who represented the alumni and being the first SRC President, reminded the attendees that the alumni should create a strong relationships with each other, as opportunity and progress could be achieved when the alumni open their doors to each other.

INCEIF PCEO Professor Dato’ Dr. Azmi Omar, in his speech, said graduates and alumni should focus and carry the good name of Islamic finance and INCEIF. “You are all ambassadors in advocating the spirit and values of Islamic finance wherever you may be.”

‘Arif said: “The SRC would like to convey our thanks to the corporate sponsors who are HSBC Amanah Malaysia Bhd, Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Bhd and Chartered Institute of Islamic Finance Professionals, as well as to all INCEIF’s management, academicians and staff, for the support that has been given in making the dinner a reality.

“With the success of this dinner and homecoming, we hope that it is the beginning of a new tradition that will foster a stronger alumni network for the university.”

The alumni in their traditional attire which was the theme for the dinner.
