18 Sep, Kuala Lumpur – INCEIF is pleased to announce the appointment of Assistant Professor Dr Ginanjar Dewandaru as the Deputy Dean of School of Graduate Studies (SGS).
Prior to joining INCEIF, Dr. Ginanjar was a Research Economist at the General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI) in Manama, Bahrain. He has contributed in the institutional development of CIBAFI, with a mandate to look into market best practices research, as well as collaborating with the CIBAFI Members Consultative Group.
He specialises in quantitative research on Islamic asset management and received the Pacific-Basin Finance Journal Research Excellence Award in 2014 in quantitative investment strategies. He has worked with executives and researchers from various institutions such as Bank of New York Mellon, Bloomberg, University of Oxford, World Bank, IDB, and some regional Islamic banks in South-East Asia and Middle East. He has contributed to international journals, including Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, Journal of Multinational Financial Management, and Physica A: Statistical Mechanics and its Applications. Ginanjar holds a PhD in Islamic Finance from INCEIF, receiving the President’s Awards; Master of International Business Finance from University of Melbourne; and Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology.
