Kuala Lumpur, 7 Feb 2017 – A total of 27 undergraduates of Tazkia, a college university in Bogor, Indonesia, visited INCEIF and ISRA today as part of their study tour in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok.
The students of Tazkia’s Institute for Research and Community Empowerment learn about Islamic finance as part of their four-year degree programme. The visit to Islamic financial institutions, regulatory bodies and INCEIF while in Kuala Lumpur was to enable them to experience, albeit briefly, Islamic Finance as practiced and taught in Malaysia.
Dr Ginanjar Dewandaru of INCEIF’s School of Graduate Studies was on hand to welcome the students and gave a briefing on the current landscape of IF globally. He also elaborated on the postgraduate studies in Islamic Finance offered by INCEIF, and career opportunities in IF. He also took questions from the students who wanted to find out about Malaysia’s way of developing and promoting its IF industry, the various formula adapted by different countries to promote IF in their respective markets and challenges to becoming a global Islamic finance professional.
Earlier, the students also had the opportunity to learn about INCEIF’s sister company ISRA. Its Publication & Marketing Senior Executive Wan Arif Wan Ahmad was on hand to brief them about ISRA. They leave for Bangkok next.
