Kuala Lumpur, 11 June – INCEIF is pleased to announce that Canadians who wish to study at INCEIF will now be able to apply for financial assistance from the Canada Student Aid. This is the first foreign government agency to extend funding aid for its citizens to study at INCEIF.
Effective immediately, INCEIF has been included on the list of approved universities which fulfill the Canadian Government standards and criteria for higher studies. Now any Canadian student can seek financial assistance from Canada Student Aid to pursue their studies at INCEIF either on campus or online. The aid for online studies, in this case for online study of the Masters in Islamic Finance Practice, is very much appreciated because most financial assistance is restricted to on campus or full-time study.
Since INCEIF’s first graduation in 2009, six Canadians have graduated from the university. Currently, nine Canadians are pursuing their studies at INCEIF either on campus or online.
With this latest development, INCEIF adds Canada to its growing list of foreign countries which have officially recognised INCEIF as a university or the MIFP programme. To date, authorities in China, Indonesia, Maldives, Oman, Pakistan, Turkey and Yemen have given similar recognition. Of INCEIF’s 1,847 students, nearly half comes from over 80 countries around the world.
