INCEIF today signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Malaysian Takaful Association (MTA) to establish a collaborative framework towards better industry participation in the training of INCEIF students, particularly for internship placements at the members’ organisations.
INCEIF President and Chief Executive Officer Mr Daud Vicary Abdullah signed on behalf of INCEIF while MTA was represented by Deputy Chairman of MTA, Mr Wan Azman Wan Mamat. With the MoU, INCEIF students can look forward to on-the-job learning when they intern at any of the branches of the fifteen MTA takaful operator members.
INCEIF is honoured to add another important industry partner to its growing pool of strategic collaborations. By leveraging on each partner’s expertise and global network, the university is on track to become the knowledge leader in Islamic finance. Its partners locally and abroad include the Islamic Development Bank, The World Bank, BNP Paribas Malaysia Bhd, Capital Market Board of Turkey and Luxembourg University where the university is collaborating on research as well postgraduate programmes and short courses on Islamic finance.
Earlier, a Public Lecture on `Industry Actuary Practice’ was delivered by AIA Public Takaful Bhd Head of Actuarial Mr Ching Ing Chian, at the Maybank Islamic Auditorium. Some 60 students and industry practitioners attended the lecture and participated actively in the Q-and-A session held after the lecture.
