The status is granted retrospectively from 2007 to 2016, and allows organisations and individuals who donate funds to INCEIF to offset their contributions through tax deductions. Organisations which have contributed to INCEIF include Maybank Islamic, Etiqa Takaful, Bank Islam Malaysia, CIMB Islamic Bank, EONCAP Islamic Bank and Affin Islamic Bank.
