MOU Signing Ceremony

The Knowledge Management Task Force (KMTF) consisting of the Asian Institute of Finance (AIF), Institut Bank-Bank Malaysia (IBBM), IBFIM, The International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance (INCEIF) and The Malaysian Insurance Institute (MII) supported by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and Securities Commissions Malaysia (SC) as advisors organized the Managing Knowledge Loss talk and KMTF MOU Signing Ceremony at Sasana Kijang, Kuala Lumpur today.

The event is organized to commemorate the cooperation between AIF, IBBM, IBFIM, INCEIF and MII in providing a framework for mutual collaboration to integrate their knowledge management access and strategies to provide a complete knowledge base shared by all members in the financial industry in building more knowledgeable financial services employees.

The half-day MoU signing ceremony started with a talk session entitled, “Managing Knowledge Loss” delivered by Ghazali Mohamed Fadzil, Deputy Director from Knowledge Management Centre BNM, followed by the welcoming remarks presented by Khadijah Abdullah, Chairman of KMTF and Chief Executive Officer of MII to further introduce the roles and objectives of KMTF towards the human capital development of the Malaysian financial sector. About 150 financial sector members from the banking, investment, Islamic banking, insurance and takaful companies and academicians attended the event.

The MoU signed between Lt Col (R) Ranjit Singh, Chief Operating Officer of AIF, Tay Kay Luan, Chief Executive Officer of IBBM, Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Dr. Adnan Alias, Chief Executive Officer of IBFIM, Daud Vicary Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer and President of INCEIF and Khadijah Abdullah, Chief Executive Officer of MII will open up for integration and rationalization of the institutes’ knowledge management facilities and expertise as well as more development of various joint-knowledge management initiatives for the Malaysian financial sector.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Yap Lai Kuen, Director, Insurance and Takaful Supervision of BNM and Siti Loreley Bakri, General Manager and Head, Human Capital Management Department) of SC representing BNM and SC as the advisors of KMTF.
