Bank Islam contributes to INCEIF’s fund

Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB) today presented a cheque for RM50, 000 which will go towards INCEIF’s Fisabilillah Trust Fund.

INCEIF President and Chief Executive Officer Mr Daud Vicary Abdullah received the contribution from Datin Norasni Ayob, Chief Operating Officer (Operations), BIMB at an event held at INCEIF.

Set up in 2007, the INCEIF Fisabilillah Trust Fund is to assist deserving students to pursue INCEIF’s flagship programme, the Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP), as well as the Masters in Islamic Finance and PhD in Islamic Finance.

The Fund comprised the zakat payables received from organisations and individuals. As of today, 478 students from 17 countries have benefited from the Fund to pursue their studies for the CIFP Programme. At the same time, 83 students from 11 countries have been awarded the financial assistance for the PhD programme and 72 students from 15 countries for the Masters programme.
