Paris Dauphine University visits INCEIF

INCEIF welcomed a delegation from the Paris-Dauphine University, led by Mr. Kader Merbouh, Chair of Ethics and Financial Norms. He was accompanied by ten of Executive Masters in Islamic Finance students.

Mr. Kader Merbouh said the objective of the visit, from 9 to 17 July 2011, was to set up academic and research cooperation between the university and institutions of higher learning as well as financial institutions in Malaysia. The university is also promote Dauphine Islamic Finance Executive Master and to implement research cooperation between Dauphine and Malaysia financial institutions.

INCEIF Chief Academic Officer Professor Datuk Syed Othman Alhabshi was on hand to meet the delegations. He was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Obiyathulla Ismath Bacha and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shahul Hameed Mohamed Ibrahim. The visitors were briefed on the role of INCEIF in the development of the Islamic finance professional, elaborating on the programmes offered by INCEIF and the importance of the Chartered Islamic Finance Professional programme to the industry.

Prof Syed Othman expressed hope on the possibility of developing cooperation involving faculty members and students through joint programmes in research, supervision of PhD students and other programmes.
