Welcome to INCEIF Alumni & Career Advisory Page

Introduction

The Alumni and Career Advisory Office (ACAO) was set up in late 2017 with the primary role to drive initiatives and programs aimed at creating opportunities for students’ development of career and life skills and facilitating alumni relationship in the interest of advancing INCIEF’s mission.

The ACA Office reports to the Deputy President Operations and works cross-functionally with the Admissions and Student Affairs Division (ASAD), the Student Representative Council (SRC), the schools as well as the Corporate Communication Unit to plan, implement and monitor student and alumni related programs and activities.

Furthermore, the Office plays a key role in soliciting feedback from students participating in career related initiatives, upon graduation and as alumni, with the objective to understand the specific needs of each group and accordingly design and deliver purposeful programs with tangible outcomes and sustainable impact.

As we were just newly established, we would like to hear from you, our alumni on how we can improve from time to time. Please feel free to email us at alumni@inceif.org

“The fact that INCEIF was set up by Bank Negara Malaysia convinced me that INCEIF is the place for Islamic finance studies as this clearly shows that the university has the support of the government and the industry players.

INCEIF has brought us together from various parts of the world; to learn, share and grow in a culture of understanding and cooperation. This relationship would continue as we are now part of the worldwide INCEIF alumni family.”

Mr.Moosa Hassim

CIFP (2012)

Graduated: 2015

Investment Analyst,

Old Mutual Wealth, Capetown, South Africa

‘’I did some online research and found out about INCEIF. It is the only university in the world that focuses on Islamic Finance. The lecturers are very good and informative. There’s always debates among my classmates facilitated by the lecturers, so there’s always camarederie which is developed among the students where we all gain new information and perspective from each other.

The qualification that we obtained from INCEIF is unparallel, in my opinion. There’s nothing like it anywhere else. INCEIF provides the base of understanding for Islamic Finance so we can go out into the world and actually revolutionise Islamic Finance industry a little more in the right direction.’’

Dr. Syed Aun Raza Rizvi

‘’The fact that INCEIF is backed by the Malaysian Central Bank, it gives me the confidence and also the guarantee that it has the necessary credibility. In addition, it is an institution where the programmes are industry-based rather than purely academic and theoretical in nature.

INCEIF has been able to attract some of the best faculty members and some of the best minds in Islamic Finance.’’

With hardly a solid background in Islamic finance, I wanted to start my involvement in the industry with a firm foundation. And I got that from the CIFP. In addition, the faculty members and support staff at INCEIF were truly supportive throughout my study at INCEIF.  My course mates, who came from all over the world, really bonded and some have become like family to me.

I was employed by Thomson Reuters during my CIFP articleship that was coordinated by INCEIF. Therefore, getting a job upon qualifying from INCEIF was hassle-free for me!”

Ms.Foo Toon Yin

“I found out that INCEIF has a very strong faculty consisting of outstanding academicians and industry players, great programmes with fantastic course structures delivered via various methods e.g. mini case study, group project, video, briefing by industry players, inter-varsity debate, etc.

The frequent industry talks provide an avenue for students to have a better understanding of the opportunities and challenges in Islamic Finance, latest industry trends, update research works, regulatory expectation and exchanges of ideas. I visited the KMC and I really love its huge physical and online collections of resources.

The diversity of students provide a good mix of cultures, respect, integrity and most of all we are united by our passion for Islamic Finance. I end up learning ton from others. I have met some of my good friends here that I will have for the rest of my life.”
