INCEIF Cares

Kuala Lumpur, 4 August: The management of INCEIF, staff and students recently pooled their funds to help out a student and an alumni in need.

In the first case, a donation of RM2,000 was collected for MSc in Islamic Finance student Muhammad Hamdan Syafieq Ahmad. Mr Dzalin Ayub, Acting President & CEO, presented the donation to Muhammad Hamdan on campus recently to help the family get back on their feet after losing their home. Last month, Muhammad Hamdan?s family home in Kuala Terengganu was burnt to the ground and his sister-in-law, Siti Nor Munirah Abu Bakar, perished in the fire.

“It all happened too quickly, and we are still in shock due to the tragedy. Though saddened by the loss, we accept it as Allah’s Will. On behalf of the family, I would like to thank the INCEIF management,  INCEIF Student Representative Council and all the individuals who have donated,” Muhammad Hamdan said.

Earlier, a sum of RM5,000 was donated to Alumnus Hameedah Muhammad who graduated with an MSc in IF last year. The sum was for her to settle the hospital bills for her baby, Nura Md Mujahidul Islam, who was admitted to Hospital Selayang in Selangor for respiratory syncytial virus in her chest.

Mr Dzalin said: “As a university, we would like to think that we are one family be it students, staff or alumni. Therefore, if any of us are in need, it is only natural that we render our help in whichever way possible. Sometimes, just a kind word or a shoulder to cry on would make a difference to a person in need.”
