INCEIF kicks off the 2010 series of roadshows with a talk on Islamic Finance issues and briefings on INCEIF at two venues in Kuala Terengganu today. This is part of INCEIF's effort to increase awareness on INCEIF and the programmes it offers.
The first talk was co-organised with Bank Negara Malaysia Kuala Terengganu for those who are working in the financial services industry. A total of 40 participants attended the talk to listen to Mr Ezamshah Ismail, Teaching Fellow at INCEIF's Takaful & Wealth Planning Department, who spoke on "Islamic Risk Management". Most were also happy to note that there is an opportunity for them to study Islamic Finance, specifically the Chartered Islamic Finance Professional (CIFP)at INCEIF without having to leave their employment, via the online self-study programme.
Next, Mr Ezamshah spoke on "Opportunities in Islamic Finance" to 100 final year students of the Accounting & Banking Department at Universiti Darul Iman Malaysia. Dr Wan Norhayate Wan Daud, Lecturer and Head of the department, was on hand to welcome INCEIF to the university.
