Our unique mission is to elevate and advance the practice of Islamic finance globally. We aim to do this by being the knowledge leader in Islamic finance not only from the religious aspect but also from the ethical perspective to everyone, from KL to Dubai, Tokyo, London and the rest of the world, irrespective of faith and creed.
Fuelled by an increasing appetite for Shariah-based products from consumers and investors who are getting sophisticated with their wish list, the Islamic finance services industry is entering one of its most exciting times since its renaissance in the last three decades.
Today, we see traditional financial capitals of the West joining the race with the new entrants of the East in laying and expanding the infrastructure for a robust Islamic finance system. Yet, the number of knowledgeable Shariah financial practitioners is trailing behind.
Against this background, INCEIF has mapped out its global agenda of developing professionals in Islamic finance. Our challenge is to develop individuals who are well-versed in Shariah that has set its roots 14 centuries ago, yet able to thrive in this technology-driven age of global finance.
INCEIF strives to bridge the gap between the theories propounded by academia and the practical activities of the industry players. We are able to do this with the solid backing of our faculty members comprising scholars in Shariah and finance as well as Islamic financial services industry experts.
Going beyond entry level knowledge, INCEIF gives the candidates of its Chartered Islamic Finance Professional, Specialised Masters and Ph.D. programmes a unique opportunity of gaining an insight into the inner workings of the industry. In addition to the theories learnt by the INCEIF programme candidates from books and journals and through their discussions with their professors, the candidates are also privy to the working experiences of industry players through case studies and internships with Islamic financial institutions.
INCEIF also has the support of the Central Bank of Malaysia, making it one of the few educational organisations in the world with such solid patronage.
Looking ahead, INCEIF wants to be the first name everyone recalls whenever they talk about a holistic and comprehensive education institution on Islamic finance. Our graduates are much more than an Islamic banker, insurer and financial planner. Our graduates are innovators of Islamic financial services, equipped with the technical aspect of the industry as well as the moral and ethical values of a decent human being. |
