Overview
Norhanim Mat Sari joined INCEIF as Lecturer under the Islamic Banking Department in July 2008. At the same time she was attached with the Banking and Supervision Department of Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) until February 2009. She has experience as academician at several universities and a college after serving the industry as an officer and research analyst.
Biography
Ms. Norhanim graduated from Western Michigan University, USA, with BBA majoring in Finance. She obtained an MBA in Oil and Gas Management-Project Financing from University of Dundee, Scotland. At present she is a PhD candidate in Islamic Finance at INCEIF.
Ms. Norhanim started her career in Maybank as a bank officer. With an MBA, she then joined Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) as research analyst working on different areas that include business and investment opportunities, policy formulation, technology management and human resource development in high technology industry sectors. She was exposed as a regulator while attached at Banking and Supervision Department of Bank Negara Malaysia under the BNM-MOHE lecturer internship program.
Prior to INCEIF, Ms. Norhanim lectured on Finance, Banking and Management courses both on full time and part time basis at different public and private institutions of higher learning, i.e. International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), Universiti Tenaga Nasional (Uniten), Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) and Technology Park Malaysia College. Her last appointment was as a senior lecturer.
She has presented a few papers in forum and academic conferences.
