All Fly Away

We are now in the final week of Ramadan and I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone Eid Mubarak.  Safe travels whether by Sea, Air or Land. Enjoy the time with your families.

In my time in Malaysia this period has always been associated with a mass migration as the entire population appears to be in the process of “Balik Kampung” – going back to their home town. The main arterial highways are jammed, coach and airline seats are booked out weeks in advance as everyone tries to “fly away home” by one means or another. As we draw a close on this period of reflection, spending time with family is often a good time to further reflect and to map out the next steps in the journey, as well as to provide comfort and support to younger members of the family group who are about to fly the nest for the first time. Great change is about to happen and we have a duty of care to ensure that “All can fly away safely.”

Safe travels everyone and Eid Mubarak!
